If you wish to proceed with the purchase a solicitor
will take you through all legal procedures and will open
up a bank account for you. The solicitor can also arrange
a mortgage for you to either a) purchase the land or b)
purchase and /or build on the land. |

A number of options are open to you once the land is
purchased. One can either
a) Do nothing and 'hold' the land.
b) Build on the land. |

Each plot of land comes with permission to build up
to a certain square meterage. If, for example you purchased
a 4000sq.mtr (approx 1 acre) plot which had permission
to build 200 sq.mtrs, you could either build 1 x 200sq.mtr.
villa or 2 x 100 sq.mtr. villas or 4 x 50 sq.mtr apartments
or other combinations (your architect can advise) Pools
and landscaping are not considered in the permissible
build amount and neither are basements. |

In certain cases land can be 'split' into smaller building
plots however, our engineers would have to advise on feasibility. |

If you are purchasing a number of plots a Greek accountant
is a necessity. We can make recommendations if required. |
