Cretan Life sells land Can you picture yourself living and working in one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Europe? Want to swap the 9 to 5 routine for something more challenging – and more fun? Cretan Life is looking for a bright, hardworking and motivated individual with a pleasant and lively outlook to join our sales team in Crete. The position will be for 6 months – from April to October, possibly leading to a full time position. In return, we are offering a basic salary package, plus excellent commission. We believe our enthusiasm is infectious: so, if you have the personality, passion and the conviction to network and progress leads generated from our offices in Kalives and Chania, then we want to meet you! An established Anglo-Greek company, we’ve been purchasing land at attractive locations in Crete for the last few years. We’ve watched as land prices at the southernmost tip of Europe have started to increase and Crete’s popularity with discerning travelers has increased, too. Now, the well-kept secret is out and Crete is the new hot spot, attracting a growing surge of interest among investors and second home buyers. Previous experience in sales is immaterial. Far more important is the ability to communicate and to put over a convincing case to interested parties. And with an excellent, top quality product to sell, you shouldn’t find that too difficult to achieve. Although your base will be at our Chania office, we don’t expect you’ll spend very much time there. Instead, you’ll be out and about making contact with potential clients. Your duties will include activities as diverse as making presentations, chatting to holidaymakers and accompanying prospective clients on plot viewings. We are already enjoying success with our sales drive, but we want to add fresh impetus and new ideas as the demand for what is a ‘proven product’ grows. To date, our clients and contacts have come from a range of European countries and from a variety of backgrounds. In financial terms, they have included private individuals wishing to see a better return on their funds, especially at a time of uncertainty around traditional types of investment and pension plans. You must be quick to be able to identify potential leads and to offer land for sale as appropriate. So think about it. Land is not only a very real and tangible asset, it’s also a finite resource that will always be in limited supply. This means it will always be in demand. Our job is simply to meet the demand. Self-confidence obligatory, age immaterial. Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to work flexible, often long, hours required.
